Learning to surf, or improve your existing surf skills in san sebastian is a trip that will change your life.. for those of you who though these charming surf schools only existed in the movies there is a real surprise waiting for you on the Northern shores of Spain. Consistent all year waves coupled with amazing people and beaches, plus a charming little Spanish city to boot… let the good times roll!

The real difficult decision shouldn’t really be whether you do this trip at some point in your life, it’s probably more like how long can you go for.

THE SURF SCHOOL

This surf school was the first to open in Spain back in 1991, since that time they have trained thousands of students, steadily improving their teaching techniques and building the surf camp to be one of the best in Europe. Of course it helps that the conditions are pretty amazing in Santander, but it’s the attitude of the founders instructors and regulars who attend surf school that make this a great place to surf.

The Spanish surf camp is fully accredited by the European surfing Federation, Spanish surfing Federation and the international surfing Association. That means over the years there has been a lot of input from both official surfing organisations and international collaborators to improve the experience and professionalism of the surf school. No wonder it is the location of choice for both Quiksilver and Roxy surf camps in Spain.

As far as the surf instruction they use lots of different techniques, tailored to the individual to improve your surfing so whether you’re beginner, advanced or even competition level we can help you improve and take you to the next steps. There are no restrictions on who can join its really up to you as to how far you are prepared to push yourself.

Surf lessons run EVERY day (Monday-Sunday). Obviously this is whether and conditions dependent, so if the conditions are not right for surfing lessons will not run. Waves are very consistent here though so it should not generally be a problem. Please note though if you book a package the included lesson time is indicative of what you should be able to achieve and sets out the maximum amount of instruction you will receive. If you are unable to do the number of hours included due to the conditions you will not be to gain a refund or credit against time in the water not used.
