The garden route in South Africa. To many picturesque beauty and great wine. To Xtreme Gappers a non-stop shit storm of excitement fear and dread. The perfect route to test your metal, blow your mind with adrenaline rushes and have an amazing week.
This special one-off promo tour, offered for the low price of £399 will be about cramming inasmuch adventure as possible into a five-day period.
Starting in Cape Town, you will have the options to kite surf, surf or tackle table Mountain and abseil down the bastard. We include 1 night in Cape Town, but feel free to add on some extra.
Once we hit the road you are going to be faced with things like the Bloukrans bungee jump a 216 m monster. Shark cage diving, Surfing in Jeffreys Bay, Blackwater tubing rafting you name it. Sure we may even see some animals as well I hear there are plenty in Africa.

Road Trip Itinerary: Start Monday 23 February 2015
Day 1 Whale Route, Hermanus, Birkenhead Brewery and Cape Agulhas
Departing Cape Town at 8:30 am and Stellenbosch at 9:30 am, our exciting journey begins today as we join the world famous whale route in Gordons Bay for a stunning drive along the picturesque R44 mountain pass overlooking False Bay to the vibrant coastal town of Hermanus. After an opportunity to take some photographs and a picnic lunch on the seafront, we continue to Birkenhead Brewery to sample some fine beers before moving on to the southernmost tip of Africa in Cape Agulhas National Park. After a visit to the lookout point we make our way to the harbour where there is an option to embark on an exciting ski-boat cruise to search for dolphin and whales (June to November). After our cruise we take a walk back to our accommodation along “Die Plaat”, the longest beach in the Southern Hemisphere.
This day is designed to be a relaxing one for you to get to know your fellow travellers, to get used to travelling in our vehicle and to settle into the comfortable routine of life on tour.

Day 2 Cape Agulhas to Sedgefield: Lion walk, Canoeing and Hike
After a relaxing breakfast we start driving inland again, this time towards the famed Garden Route! Our first stop is a once in a lifetime experience, walking with lions.
Next on the agenda is a beautiful canoe trip down one of the many tranquil rivers in the area, followed by a short hike to one of the many stunning waterfalls here.
Finish off the day with some beach time down at MyoliBeach.

Day 3 Oudtshoorn day trip: Little Karoo, Cango Caves, Ostrich farm, Endangered Wildlife Rehabilitation Ranch
We begin the day with a drive over the picturesque Outeniqua mountain range into the semi desert region of the Klein Karoo and Oudtshoorn. Known as the ostrich capital of the world. What? Yes you did just read that correctly the ostrich capital of the world. Don’t take the piss Ostriches are quite sensitive.
Next.we hit cango caves. CangoCaves is a world heritage site and one of the great wonders of the natural world. For those up for it you can go caving, and what a place to do it.
Next is an option to view and ride ostriches on a working ostrich farm, or go on a guided tour of the Cango Endangered Wildlife Ranch for an opportunity to pet cheetah, cage dive with crocodiles and view many rare and endangered animal species.

Day 4 Sedgefield to Addo: Tsitsikamma NP, Bloukrans Bungy, Sunday’s River Valley
This morning you have the opportunity to explore the TsitsikammaNational Park, either via a hike across the suspension bridge at Storms River Mouth or by means backwater tubing.
The National Park, declared in 1964, encompasses a marine reserve made up of 80km of coastline and offers magnificent scenery. Approximately 30% of the park is covered in fynbos, scattered amongst the forest vegetation, boasting a wide variety of beautiful flowers, including proteas and heath. Many species of forest, fynbos and sea birds are present. Blah blah blah.. But who gives a shit. You’re going tubing.
216 m bungee
In the afternoon we drive to the highest road bridge in Africa at BloukransBridge. At a height of 216m this is also the site of the highest bungy In Africa! If you are up for it you can do it. Believe us though you will shit your pants. We are not joking this is seriously bad ass.
Afterwards we make our way inland towards Addo and our accommodation for the night, in the SundaysRiverValley. Set in a wild and scenic location on the banks of the SundaysRiver, we take the time to relax under the African sun as well as explore the river by canoe. Around the campfire tonight, this is what you’ve come to experience… Wild Africa at her enigmatic best!

Day 5 Addo National Park to Jeffrey’s Bay: Game Drive, Port Elizabeth, Jeffrey’s Bay
First thing in the morning we will hit ADDO Safari Park. Stunning views and animals galore. Proclaimed a National Park in 1931, this malaria free, 145 000 ha park extends all the way down to the Indian Ocean and is home to the densest African Elephant population on earth, totalling over 500 elephant.
After lunch in the park we head to Port Elizabeth if anyone needs to be dropped off here. A major sea port and tourist destination, Port Elizabeth is set along the beautiful shores of Algoa Bay and is fondly referred to as the Friendly City.
We then head for the pristine beaches of Jeffrey’s Bay. One of the worlds top surf spots would go hang out with the surf dudes and go surf the world-famous super tubes.

Airport Pick up and Accommodation
You will be welcomed at the airport and taken to our luxury backpackers hostel with a view on Table Mountain and located right on the beach (for those interesting in learning Kite surfing, you can come a few days early and learn here!). Our hostel is within a short distance from all bars, restaurants, the beach, shops and transport terminals. The hostel is famous for kitesurfing, water sports and its amazing views of Table Mountain from Kite Beach.
After you have settled in you will meet the staff and Xtreme Gappers whilst enjoying a hearty traditional South African stew potjie (stew) is cooked on the fire only to wake up the next day ready to explore Cape Town!
