This travel pass has a minimum recommended trip time of 30 days, although you should definitely plan on going for longer. 30 days assumes you do all the travel days back-to-back, but as this is a flexible hop on hop off travel pass you can take as long as you like to do it. We also definitely recommend combining this with the Inca Trail because this pass allows you to travel straight from Lima to Cuzco enabling you to set the date for the Inca Trail at the time of booking. This is particularly useful because the Inca Trail is limited by the amount of people who can apply for passes, and often books out many months ahead.
Another benefit of this pass, is that Lima is one of the cheapest and most accessible international airports into South America, so this would enable you to see quite a lot of the highlights of South America yet still being able to book a return ticket out of Lima. It’s quite a logical route of South America backpacking trail.
The itinerary below assumes you are doing the journey back to back so the days are really only meant for a reference it does not account for extra days spent in the locations exploring them. You need a minimum of 31 days to complete this but that would really be travelling back to back so please allow longer.
