After Barcelona, there´ll be no stopping you from hopping on a plane to South America, Central America or the Caribbean; the world is your oyster when you master the language of love!
Barcelona is a fantastic place to live and learn Spanish for many reasons; the year-round great weather, the amazing arts and music scene, including huge festivals like Benicassim, the Primavera Sound Festival and Sonisphere Barcelona Festival, and, of course, the city´s central location in Europe allows you to easily explore some of the best spots on the continent.
Did we mention that Barcelona is a beach city? So, if you´re feeling too hot from the gorgeous weather, or you want to relax after an intensive Spanish lesson, you can simply stroll to the beach to dip your toes in the warm Mediterranean Sea.
What should you do when you´re not studying Spanish? There are lots of things to do on your time off, from exploring the history and culture of Barcelona through the beautiful architecture, the amazing museums and the mesmerising art, to travelling around the country and continent, visiting the best beaches, cities and festivals that Europe has to offer. Trust us, there´s nowhere more exciting to spend a gap year than Europe in the summertime!

Cuitadella Park: This is a beautiful park in the heart of Barcelona, where we get together to have picnics or to play some sports and try to interact in Spanish.

Beach Cinema: During summer months “Lluire a la platja” offers free cinematic experience right on the beach. We love to get together once every two weeks to hang out, by snacks, drinks and enjoy the amazing summer nights with great movies/documentaries.
Mundo Lingo: This is a great “intercambio” event for students who wants to practice their Spanish outside of school. The event is open to all nationalities and languages and the students can talk about anything they like. You don´t have to be an advanced speaker – it’s for all levels!
Museums: Every first Sunday of the month it is free entry to a lot of Barcelona´s leading museums. We usually meet up outside school and walk together to one of all the interesting museums. Examples of these are the Picasso museum, MACBA, CCCB and the chocolate museum.
General Events: Barcelona in general offers a lot of interesting events/celebrations that are completely for free. We are constantly updated with the happenings, therefore many activities are based on events that are currently taking place in Barcelona. Examples of such festivals are La Mercé, Tres Reyes, Fiesta Mayor Gracia and October fest.
