    Mozambique is one of Africa’s up-and-coming hot-spots. Mozambique has world class diving, warm water and pristine beaches  (There is a total of 2,500 kilometres of virgin coast waiting to be explored).for you to enjoy. This former Portuguese Colony was explored in 1498 and Mozambique got its independence in 1975. The language in Mozambique is still Portuguese but also Vernacular languages Swahili, Makhuwa and Sena are spoken. There is almost no time difference with Europe (GMT +2).

     

    What do you see when while Diving

    • Manta Reef - just five miles off Tofo beach, every morning dozens of giant mantas come for a cleaning by the local tropical fish who dive in and around their gills. Seeing a giant manta swim by must be one of the undersea wonders of this world.
    • Whale sharks in Guinjata Bay in the Southern African summer months
    • June to October is the annual Humpback whale migration.  Whale song is frequently heard on dives and Whale sightings from boats or from the shore are extremely common.

    Weather

    The rainy season is in the summer from October/November to March/April. You can expect short lived but violent rain and electrical storms, but it clears up pretty quick especially on the coast.
