Flights to Australia

Wow, 20 minutes in to the Air Asia flight and I wish to get out!
It smells a bit, we sit next to the toilet, and there is lots of noise, 1 baby on the plain, you guessed it correctly, behind me. We are already on our way for 11 hours and have only done Malaga to London; we are now on our way from London to Malaysia.
We had a 7 hour wait ion Stansted airport. We bought plugs for international electricity, magazines, books, news papers, maltesers, m&m’s and a beer at the airport in London. This to make up for the extremely cheap flight.
200 Euro one way for a 14 hour flight is not bad! I was expecting mini seats but actually it is ok. My legs are not poking in to the seat in front of me although this tiny Malaysian man has already put his seat back. And I did not since this baby sitting on his mums lap, and I feel sorry for her. Also the stewardesses look great! I cannot stop looking, perfect hair, perfect smile, tiny and in nice out fits…beats Ryan air

Oliver and I are looking all cool with our Xtreme Gap clothing and we already had some nice talks with other travellers.
There was this older couple I had next to me from Spain to the UK and they were going to Malaysia in January for their son’s wedding and they took a card for their grand son who wants to go on a gap year. The lady gave me a flight pillow, great! So after my flight meal at Air Asia and a glass of wine, or better jet a gin tonic and a sleeping pill I shall look ridiculous but will be comfy with my pillow. In line to get on the flight to Malaysia we talked to one French guy also travelling to Australia to do woofing, working on farms in exchange for a place to sleep (not too extreme) and a guy who goes to all the cool places to surf. He is now going for Bali and Lombok and Australia, he has been already to Carrapateira in Portugal (check our site, cool place to surf) France, Spain and many other places.
They however have a stopover in Kuala Lumpur, we fly straight through to the Gold coast in Australia I try to decide what is better, I think a night in KL… too late now.

Just got woken up for beans, carrots and mashed potatoes. … Although breakfast, I believe we are flying over Thailand now and is about 6 hours later here.

I slept like a baby. Thank our friend Dan for the pill he gave, it sis its work! Slept form 1 to 8 UK time and I felt ok waking up until v said: You have huge bags (under your eyes) of oh you are only allowed one back on the plain, you most definitely will get arrested for this, I tried to limit the damages by eye cream etc, but I guess I just have to live with it until we get our first coffee.

We had 3 chairs between the both of us so I could change position every now and then, Actually I had 2 and oli stitched to one chair, what a gentle man. We also booked the comfort pack h means you get a pillow, a blanket and an eye mask, brill.

About the baby behind me, I need to appologise. He slept the whole way an just ate his beans and carrots just like us. If I ever have kids I hope he will be just like this little man, a good traveler.

Getting quite exited now. We will land in Malaysia in about 2 hours. Although we just have to wait 4 hours and fly through to Australia, there will be Asian food, asian shops, lots of Asians, and I love Asia. The only thing is it makes me look soooo tall >

The next flight will be with the luxurious Jet star… Only about 9 hours…We ser of ion about9 pm and 7 am local Australian time. See how big my bags are then!

Still 26-10-2010…ahhhh I just had my first meal since long is Asia again. Just a simple chicken noodle soup but it was good! Smiling Asian people, the way they speak English.

In about two hours w will be on our way to The Gold Coast, but I am very happy we will be back in Asia December 15th!
