Paragliding off Lions Head in Cape Town South Africa

November 30, -0001  By Xtreme Gap

Cape Town is an amazing location. There is something about the place with its geographic position that makes it an adventure seekers playground. Table Mountain there is no escaping. The views on a good day from up there are pretty impressive, perhaps the only thing that can better this on our Xtreme South Africa experience is the Paragliding you will do during the adrenaline week.

Lions head is one of the preferred launch points for the paragliders, when the wind and weather conditions are right you can always see paragliders taking off over the city.

If you are new to Paragliding, and let’s face it most of us are, you are in for a treat. There’s something really spectacular about being airborne, in open air without any engine noise.

The flights can take half an hour or so, depends if you are lucky to get a thermal or upwind to keep you airborne. Either way you’re going to have a hell of a ride before landing on the beaches below.
