Koh Tao is a tiny little island in the gulf of Thailand. Once a hidden gem, discovered only by backpackers with sturdy sea legs and a sense of adventure big enough to haggle with fishermen to gain a passage to the island, it has become one of the must-see places on any Thailand backpacking trip.
Koh Tao is only 21 SQ Km in total, with 2 huge peaks that rise majestically out of the sea it is an impressive island, fringed by sandy bays, beaches and coves with some incredible snorkeling and diving.
Koh Tao has started to feel the effects of development though, not in an overdone way, but there is now definitely a community feel to the island, with improving infrastructure comes more tourists, with that comes bars, restaurants and clubs. Fortunately, the Island has developed at a steady and sensible pace, meaning that this is still a paradise island, and one you are going to love.
We run several programmes on Koh Tao, the Koh Tao Adventure being one of the most popular, with diving programmes, Muay Thai programmes and even Freediving and rock climbing.
