It was my first trip to Thailand. First time solo-traveler too! Of course I have the right to feel anxious (mix of excitement and fright? hehe exaggeration!)
I couldn't imagine any other experience of Maya Bay being this fulfilling. The whole trip from start to finish was an adventure and camping under the stars in arguably the most stunning part of the world was the highlight of my whole Thailand holiday! I will be doing this again next visit!
Then I had 2 night on Phi Phi and boy do they know how to party here! Our room had window out onto the street, which can be a rather busy one at times so noise can be a factor. Its pretty central to most things in town and about 5mins from the pier.
Staff were friendly.
Phi Phi's nightlife is compact, entertaining, young and vibrant and - unlike many other tourist destinations in this part of the world - it's not sleazy. The island's many pubs and bars are centrally located and easy to find. At 2am the music stops but bars generally stay open for as long as they have customers.
The third leg of the trip is to Ao Nang in Krabi Province in the south of Thailand. It was fantastic as it was easy access to most of the islands in the area.
We went ISLAND HOPPING. I think we did 4 islands in one day which I later realised could be really exhausting! For the love of me I couldn't remember the order of the islands that we visited lol. Our tour guide told me that I had good legs and feet coz I was able to climb up the viewpoint in just 8mins (apparently, normal climb rate is 20mins). I'm gona say it, it's all worth it!
Also loved the elephant trekking. I thought it was funny, very jungly (if there's such a word lol) that I'm on an elephant, trekking the jungle!
Oh well, now back in Dubai and back to work. Wish I was still there, sipping some cocktails watching the sunset. Definitely worth visiting again in the near future.

We had an incredible time during our trip to Maya Bay. It was seriously one of the best experiences I've ever had, and the people we were traveling with were wonderful. A couple of the guys brought their guitars, and we just sat by the fire all night playing music/drinking.They really do everything they can to make this an unforgettable experience. The snorkeling was beautiful, the food was delicious, our tour guide Coco Loco (and rest of the staff) was great, and of course the island just speaks for itself.

The trip is so well organised - having the bay to ourselves. Food was brilliant! Loved meeting and getting to know the other people on the trip - there was a really good atmosphere.
