Thailand Backpacker Experience
A great value arrival into Thailand, jam packed with exciting activities and excursions. Hang out on the Khao San Road the major hub for backpackers in Thailand, see the sites of Bangkok, haggle in markets and eat tasty Thai food! Spend a week getting a tropical tan on a paradise Island making new friends for life!
Being picked up from Bangkok Airport you will be taken to the Koh San Road Base - The Viengtai Hotel. From there you can check out the scene in this world famous backpacker area with plenty of things to see and so (we will provide you with a pretty comprehensive guide after booking to give you some inspiration). Depending on what time you arrive you can then meet the other travellers in the group and head out for a meal in one of the excellent restaurants in the area. The nightlife does not stop in Bangkok, so if you can´t sleep because of the Jet lag, get out there and party! If you need to sleep big time you have a very comfortable room!
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
The next day the group will be picked up early and taken to one of the most famous places in Thailand: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. As you cruise around the river and canals you will pass floating stalls, selling everything from handicrafts to T shirts. It is a fascinating way to start to see the culture of Thailand.
During the trip you will pass an elephant camp, monkey school and the snake farm (optional stops).
The floating market takes a few hours to do properly, after wards you will head back to Bangkok via a wood handicraft centre to see authentic local Thai Art.
Then back to the Hotel (for about 2pm) to take a dip in the pool and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 3 Bangkok! Grand Palace and Emerald Buddah
Today you will get to see the Bangkok sites that you can´t wait to see, with jet lag gone you can really appreciate the grand palace.
What an impressive place it is too.The palace also houses the Emerald Buddha. This is a figurine of the sitting Buddha, made of green jadeite (rather than emerald), clothed in gold and has major historical significance in Thailand.
The tour will finish before lunch and you are free to explore other parts of Bangkok with the group or go off an do your own thing, you just need to be ready for your transfer at around 6.30 pm to Koh Tao. The Koh Tao Transfer is an overnight trip (This mean s more time in the days to do the fun stuff!) and you will be arriving in Koh Tao at about 9am the next day. Transfer is included and this is how you get from the hotel to the bus.
