I am now home from the trip of a life time! In July-August 2012 I arrived in Malapascua to complete my EFR, Rescue Diver and DMT with Xtreme Gap. I was still relatively new to diving, being only AOW since 2010, but I wanted to learn and gain more experience in diving.
Malapascua and Xtreme Gap did more then just teach me, they showed me a new way of life as they surrounded me with brilliant and amazing like-minded diver's and instructors that were always helpful, knowledgeable and professional. The Diving in Malapascua is truly amazing, from diving sights like Pantaw-Pantaw to see the pigmy seahorses to getting on the early morning dive to sea the beautiful thresher sharks. I ended up closing in on 100 dives whilst in Malapscua doing these courses, so for for 3 courses, accommodation and unlimited dives, for the money its a bargain and if I could do it again i would.
My last review of this place is how welcoming the staff and instructors were and how many of them became and still are good friends and though my experience with these people (and all the locals and the island) has made me consider going on to the Instructor level and even living as a pro-diver, and Malapascua could easily be the place to live out that dream

Spending my time on Malapascua was the best time of my life. The team was really experienced and ultra supportive. My encounters with the Threshers was a life changing experience, thank you so much for making my dream come true.

Stayed at the dive resort in July for a week with 3 friends and we had a wonderful time. The setting is beautiful and our rooms were extremely comfortable. We also thought the food was great, although the menu was possibly a bit too long and it would have been nice to see more simple fresh seafood. All the staff were extremely helpful, and we were particularly impressed when someone accompanied us all the way back to Maya to meet our transfer back to Cebu City, even though we did not take the resort's private boat transfer.
We were also very pleased with our diving experience. Three of us were completing the Open Water course and had an excellent instructor just for the three of us, and generally felt that we were in very safe hands. One of our party was already an experienced diver and he thought that the dive shop was excellent. Needless to say, the diving in Malapascua is incredible!
Overall a fantastic stay - thank you!

Our arrival onto the idylic island of Malapascua was only what one can dream of, white beaches glistening waters and so friendly people, first stop drop dive bags at the resort and immediately we were welcomed by the highly professional Team. Dive shop managers and instructors Angel and Jo and of course baby Marc they made us feel like we were part of the dive centre, there was never any awkward moments thinking we were strangers.
The resort has a restaurant which at all hours serves food and drink to a very high standard and very reasonably priced, again the staff were amazing and at all times were immaculate.
Thank you Angel and Team for making this possible :) and qualifing me as a Divemaster!
