Search for the Komodo Dragon
The waters and islands around the Komodo National Marine Park are simply stunning. Due to them being accessible only by boat, they are well off the tourist trail (affectionately known as the banana pancake Trail) and are arguably one of the last untouched places you can visit without mounting a major expedition. Getting there is relatively easy via Bali or Lombok but to complete the journey you need to do this on a live aboard boat.
Our trips going there are relatively expensive compared to your typical backpacking trips due to the logistical challenges in getting you out to the islands, however the rewards are certainly worth it. If you want a completely unique adventure in mind blowing place and genuinely incredible travel memories and definitely consider saving the extra to go on one of these adventures. |

Some of the Highlights?
|
Some of the best diving in the world, pristine reefs and huge biodiversity underwater make snorkelling diving and free diving, the perfect pursuits to make this a completely unforgettable trip.
The Marine life is exceptional. Expect to see huge manta rays, dolphins, huge shoals of fish and huge Pelagic oceangoing fish and lots of species of shark.
Due to the lack of pollution, the coral is the best you will see underwater even if you're not scuba-diving, snorkelling will be some of the best you have ever experienced.

On land you will be rewarded with incredible vistas, unique wildlife topped off with such an adventurous setting, travel will never be the same again. The majority of the trips include short trekking adventures. It is not just the destination that makes this such a special trip, because groups are small typically around five people and you live on the boats, you really get to know the others in the group and share the adventure. Experiencing some of these locations you will definitely make lifelong friends from your fellowship ship mates.
Adventure options available on other trips
Depending on the time of year you can join different expeditions focusing on different extreme activities.
