Burried in the Namib-Naukluft National Park you find the Sossusvlei.  It is in the Sossusvlei that you will find the highest sand dune in the world and also the most iconic sand dune in the world affectionately (well most photographed anyway)  called big daddy. This is the most popular visitor attraction in Namibia, because it is so surreal, you can´t help but admire it.

If you are fit enough, you might attempt to climb it as well. Now climbing in sand in one of the worlds oldest deserts, in 45 degrees heat is not an easy task, but the reward is worth it. How many of your mates can claim to have stood ontop of an epic sand dune with nothing but desert around and proclaimed themselves king of the hill?
