Table Mountain dominates Cape Towns skyline from any angle, it always makes its presence well felt. If you journey to the top of the mountain, the view from the top is spectacular. You have to pick the best day to do it though, pick a clear blue sky day and you can see for miles.
You can do the adventurous option and trek up there in about three hours, but we recommend taking the cable car it will cost you around 20 quid and it revolves as it goes up, giving impressive views of the cliffs the city and camps Bay. You might see some nutters trying to rock climb up the mountain, and most likely some lunatic Xtreme Gappers abseiling off it. Check out our post on abseil Africa here.
Book your tickets online the night before and you can jump the queue. You also might enjoy our post on why you should visit table Mountain.
