Become a surf pro in Australia
You’ll be spending your time during the gap year course at our two Australia surf camps and the accommodation is great. Surf houses…on the beach. With nothing to stop you to go out there and stand on your board. The beach houses have shared rooms and lounge areas. In the evenings you are free to give a barbecue and drink your own brought beer or nice Australian we. Enjoying the sunset with a barbecue, or maybe you are still in the water. It is all about relaxing, good times, new friends and lot’s of surfing.
On weekends you are free to do as you want, and we can get you up to Byron free of charge as long as there are seats available on our busses. We can even help you book accommodation there. Depending on your budget you can chose to stay at backpackers hostel or treat yourself to a nice hotel after all your hard work in the sea. Byron Bay is a nice place to visit. Byron is situated on the Northern Coast of New South Wales and is easy to reach by bus from Coolangatta airport or Brisbane airport. the temperature in Byron is in summer 21-30°C and in winter 20-27°C, so always nice really. Remember that the seasons are reversed from the UK in Australia. For surfing you need preferably good water temperature too.
Our surf camps are located near Byron Bay and the water temperature here is on average 20-27°C We never have more than 10 students in one group, but we can never tell how many or who are on the group just days before we start. There are always last minute changes. Do not worry there are always plenty of surfers around with the same mind setting as you. Enjoy and surf Australia during your Australia Gap Year is the best!
