More about Indonesia

Indonesia is a huge country, split up into hundreds of different islands. It is part of the ring of fire with many of the islands being created by volcanic activity millions of years ago. Even today there are hundreds of active volcanoes in Indonesia, making the land really fertile, lush and green with coconut trees and rice paddies aplenty. Indonesia is stunning, and you will discover it with amazed eys on an Indonesia gap year.
Indonesians in general are extremely friendly and hospitable, whilst many of them are Islamic (Indonesia is the most populace Islamic country in the world), there are also many other religions there too, like Hindu – especially on Bali.
Indonesian food is also something you should and will experience on your Indonesia gap year, rice makes up the staple side dish as in most places in Asia, however some of the signature dishes are truelly mouth watering. Like chicken Satay and Nasis that will make you ditch the diet and seriously want to trough out for the duration of your stay. Good job then that the food is so cheap (About £1.50 a meal in some places).
There are plenty of adventure activities, stunning vistas and just down right cool places to visit in Indonesia, so on your Indonesia gap year, you will not be disappointed.
