Thailand Buddhism and Culture Week
After 2 weeks when you are feeling more settled you can then move on to do some beach weeks on the Koh Tao Adventure, The Beach Experience or do some independent travel.
This is a great programme if you are looking to meet people and join a group of like minded travellers.
2 unique locations
Set in 2 idyllic locations this programme is the ideal first step in to Thailand, getting you settled in a fascinating country with a group before heading on to other things or doing some independent backpacking.
The trip starts off with an intro week, where you will learn more about Thai customs and culture, and then you move on to Whang nam Khieow, a beautiful part of Thailand up in the hills, where you can take part in lots of cultural exchange activities and a Thailand Buddhism and culture week.
Singburi Activities
Here you will get to know more about Thailand, bond with your fellow participants, and learn about the local surrounding area. You will learn about Thai culture, Thai language and have a taste of what has made Thai cooking so famous around the world through some cooking classes. You will also visit the famous Buddhist Temple: Wat Phranon Jaksi, the old capital of Ayutthaya (including a visit to the Elephant Village), Lopburi's museum and pagoda. You will also have time to meet the local people, taste the food and learn about Thai customs first hand with locals.
Singburi is one of Thailands cultural hot spots, rich with history, but enough of the beaten track to deliver the real Thailand experience.
Wang Nam Kheow
During your week at Wang Nam Khieow you will get to know more about Thai culture with temple visits and even an overnight stay in a local monastery. You will meet the monks, learn about their ways and discover more about Buddhism. This location is up in the hills and borders a national park. Many people visiting Thailand miss out on visiting here, which is a shame, as the region is known by Thais for being one of the most beautiful in Thailand.
