Costa Rica situated in Central America means "rich coast" in Spanish. And a Rich coast it is with stunning beaches, sea and nature. Costa Rica is bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the east.

Costa Rica is a great place to visit. Whether you want to surf, enjoy nature, lay in the sun, scuba dive, climb a mountain, take a bike tour... makes no diff! Costa Rica is for you.

The main language spoken in Costa Rica is Spanish, and it is difficult to travel around anywhere in South and central America without any knowledge of Spanish so we do advise you to take language lessons at home, or much better, book one of our Spanish Language trips, Learn Spanish in Argentina, Venezuela or in Spain, it is all possible and it will make your travels a lot easier.

Although if you just book one programme and stay in one place, like with the surf or dive programme in Costa Rica, you will be fine. All our guides speak English.
