Yosemite, Zion, Bryce and Arches National Parks deliver the quintessential great outdoors experience, the sort of thing that the USA boasts plenty of. It’s freaking amazing landscapes people, nothing like this on earth will make you feel so small. Well perhaps the Grand Canyon, but the USA national parks take some beating.

Without wanting to sound too much like a geography nerd,  these awesome national parks are hugely diverse in their make up, from slick rock arches, to humongous valleys and  enormous stone monoliths found in Monument Valley just about everything you could want to get back to nature is all around you.

Before you start to think you’ll end up like wild Bill, or some log cabin dwelling redneck hippie, there’s plenty of civilisation to explore on the USA road trips as well, from the plastic fantastic in Hollywood and LA, to the awesome San Francisco where you can walk the golden gate bridge.
