Location and staff really made this stay great!

On arrival there was a short que to check in but there were many people to check in and 3 staff members were on duty. If you are wrecked after your flight or simply flinch at the thought of ques then never fear there is a comfy couch in the reception area. The girl who checked us in was extremely friendly, thorough and efficient (which I cannot say for previous hostels I stayed in!). We were given several drinks vouchers for the Globe bar (situated on the ground floor-reception is on thethird floor and there are lifts) which we discovered is the main backpacker bar in the city.

General

This is an excellent starter and work pack along with an expert job search centre sets it apart from the rest, guaranteeing to find jobs for travelers who are keen to work whilst abroad.

When it comes to socializing, the hostel can’t be beaten, with nightly entertainment on offer! Start the night off at the Balcony Bar on the 6th floor of the hostel in Auckland, and then join the travellers down at New Zealand’s biggest party bar, the famous Globe Bar. What are you waiting for? This quality hostel offers comfy beds in a clean, modern and secure environment ranging from en-suite doubles to small and large shared dorms. There is also a Sanctuary wing for girls only.
