During the buddism and trekking weeks on the Xtreme Thailand Experience and the Cultural Experience programmes you stay in a beautiful location up in the hills a few hours drive from bangkok. This is the perfect location to get to know the real Thailand away from the fun, yet completely uncultured Khao San Road!  We figure if you are taking a Thailand gap year you will want a good mix of culture, beaches, Bars and temples and these two options are perfect for this.
