Ecuador is one of the best places in the world to enter the world of mountaineering. Many people have successfully scaled the 7 peaks cite the Andes as the place they started their life long passion with scaling summits. Now, with the 12 Day intro and Mountain climbing adventure you can join the elite few that have taken on a peak of over 5000 metres. Not just one either, over 5 days you will take on 3 high alpine peaks culminating in a climb of Cotopaxi, the highest peak  at nearly 6000 metres (if you want to push the 6000 metre barrier then you have to go for the Chimborazo Climb at a humongous 6310m

Chimborazo Bugle Action.

Playing the bugle (badly) is entirely optional.

But Why?

When we tell people that travel can be about rising to a challenge and delivering you a huge dose of achievement, this is a prime example. Submitting one 5000 metre + peak is not easy, but taking on three might be the challenge of your life. The sense of achievement is immense. You will probably only get one shot at it too, unless perhaps you head to Nepal, but one trip at a time, and if you are going to do something do it right. Rise to the challenge and conquer a mountain. Why the hell not, there is not much else that can top that on your Ecuador Gap Year.
