Buenos Aires, the glorious capital of Argentina is an exciting place to be. Vastly different from many other South American cities, it has a distinctly European feel. When they built the city, they embraced skyscrapers, but not in an over the Top – lets make a New York in the Southern Hemisphere kind away… It is much more in tune with the surroundings. In essence, it is just cool.

Take a stroll through the streets and you will come across huge boulevards, classic cars and the odd couple breaking out into a full blown Tango before your very eyes. Eating out in some of the amazing restaurants serving the most incredible steaks you can imagine, hmm. Drool.

Buenos Aires is also a great place to hang out and learn Spanish, with our Spanish and Culture program you can do just that, as well as gettgin involved in some great cultural exchange activities, like learning the Tango, City tours with a twist (the twist being you are taken to places that most tours don´t feature), mixing with Gauchos at an Estancia and much more.

A Gap Year in Argentina is full of fun things, if you have taken one, or been to Buenos Aires, please tell us about it below.
