Yup. You save a few quid (Euro actually) with us, and then some. The gap year industry stinks of profiteering, there are some really expensive companies out there: we are very proud to say we not one of them. Did you know some of our programmes can be found on other gap year companies websites with nearly a grand added on to the price tag for a 4 week trip? Not mentioning any names, though, that would be unprofessional (they begin with an R and end in Gap and have an eal in there somewhere). We do not report to shareholders, we are not a member of a huge travel conglomerate, and will never put profits over customer satisfaction. Ever.
Our company is small, it is new(ish) and still proudly holds on to its ideals of providing the customer with the best trip they can have. In fact Xtreme Gap was founded on the principal of providing the best value incredible adrenaline travel experiences to our customers. All our trips are fully researched and vetted by the directors, who have experienced first hand the excitement, trials and incredible experiences of a gap year (and then some). Both of them: (Oliver and Debby) are very hands on, and will not just sit and recite a sales brochure at you, they will talk you through what to expect, how to do it and go above and beyond to get you to have that trip of a life time.
That included a 24 hour emergency number, out of hours office support and locally based reps in many of our programme countries. Call us in the evening, no problem, we keep late office hours as we recognise "talking about your career break" is not always the best move when sat next to your boss.
We also give you oodles of information before you go away and will make sure you are all set for the trip of a lifetime.
But no, before you ask, you can't blow up a cow with a bazooka in Vietnam.
