Australia KiteSurf Adventure Essential Info Want to go on an unforgettable Kitesurfing safari on your gap year in Australia? Take advantage of pristine white sandy beaches, strong winds and stunning remote coastlines. Located in traditional aboriginal lands, just getting to the location is an adventure requiring transportation by 4x4. Heading our from Cairns and Port Douglas you will be driven through the Daintree Rainforest, over the Bloomfield River and over the golden sands and clear flat lagoons of our hidden kitesurfing location. You can only access this place by driving in at low tide, on arrival you will enjoy wonderful isolation at high tide the beach, waves and the wind will be all yours!
Our Kitesurfing partners are the only operators licensed to use this awesome location ideal for kitesurfing due to the constant trade winds that blow from April to November. The conditions vary at different parts of the beach from flat lagoons to impressive swell allowing you to practice all your moves. The Kite surfari has been planned down to the last detail, all you have to do is turn up and bring your Kite (or we can arrange rental) and your sense of adventure, everything else has been planned down to the last detail. The camp will be set up for you and provide immediate access to the best Kitesurfing spots, tents are comfortable with good ground mats on soft sand, covered eating area and to die for traditional camp fire tucker! Dailey activities and excursions will keep you happy and Kitesurfing all day with a particular favourite being the down wind run, where you will be dropped of and you can Kite surf back to the meeting point.
Safety aspects are of course not over looked with full support vehicles including an inflatable safety boat to rescue distressed kitesurfers and an 8 wheel argo: an amphibious vehicle that can transport the kitsurfers and their equipment back to the camp if they head out too far.

Getting There The programme begins in Cairns or Port Douglas. If starting in Sydney we can add this onto an Oz Experience Bruce pass If you would like assistance with your flights, we can assist with sourcing the best value flight options, just indicate on your booking form.
When To Go The Kitesurf safari runs from April to November when the winds blow strongest.
