Being based on an island in the gulf of Thailand, you can reach Koh Phangan on th Lomprahay fast catamaran or the Sea Tran boat.
Many head there from Samui (nearest airport) or Koh Tao (really popular stunning backpacker island) during the night of the party itself, and choose to take a Full moon party boat.
Imagine an open deck fast boat travelling the 2 hour journey as the sun sets with a huge sound system blast out music and everyone on board (about 100 people) getting rat assed.
