Essential Info
Moshi will be your base to explore Tanzania's best game parks, namely the Serengeti, Lake Manyara and the world famous Ngorogoro crater. When you have had your fill of tracking Africas big five, prepare for the ultimate adventure trek, Climbing Kilimanjaro. With a choice of completing the Marangu or Rongai routes, you will be awestruck standing on the roof of Africa as the sun rises over the great African plains. This trips is designed to run with a group (solo travellers will be matched up with other groups), please contact us for dates.

Getting There
The programme begins in Moshi, you will be collected from Kilimanjaro National Airport, or met on arrival if travelling overland.

Price covers: overnights before and after safari in budget lodges, transportation in 4x4 vehicle with pop up roof for easy viewing and photos taking, 3 meals a day while on safari, English speaking guide/driver, camping fees, cook, camping gears such as mattresses, tents and cooking utensils, all transfers, All parks entrance fees and Crater service fee.

Safari Itinerary
Day 1
Hotel pick up at 09:00hrs and leave from Arusha, drive for about 2 hours to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, tree-climbing lions, hippos and baboons. Dinner and overnight will take place on top of the Great Rift Valley, overlooking Lake Manyara.
Day 2
Early breakfast at 6.00 am. Game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, herds of lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Dinner and overnight in the heart of Serengeti!
Day 3
Another game drive in Serengeti. In the afternoon you drive en route (optional stopover at Olduvai) to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight with an excellent view of the crater floor!
Day 4
A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. There is a very high possibility of spotting the big 5 in one day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Lunch will take place at the picnic site at the crater floor. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
Sample Kilimanjaro Itinerary (Rongai)
Day 1
Depart from the hotel in the morning after packing all climbing stuffs and gears, then transfer to Nale-Moru gate. The climb begins at the village of Nale Moru (1950 mts) through cultivated land before entering the pine forest. Watch out for Kilimanjaro Colobus monkeys in the tree tops with their white fringed 'capes' and tail. Taking 3 - 4 hours the first camp is on the edge of the moorland zone where the forest begins to thin out at First Cave at 8500ft/2600m.

Day 2
The morning walk is a steady ascent up to Second Cave at 11300ft/3450m with superb views of Kibo and the eastern ice fields on the crater rim. Pushing on to reach Third Cave taking 3 to 4 hours at 12800ft/3800m for overnight at

Day 3
Continue ascending on the east side of Kibo crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo taking 4 to 5 hours to reach Kibo Hut at 15000ft/4700m. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final ascent which begins around midnight.

Day 4
An early morning start for the summit on steep heavy scree to arrive at Gilman's Point at 18640ft/5681m in time to see the sun rise. Those who want to reach the highest point in Africa can take the approximately three hour excursion to Uhuru Peak 19340/5896m passing close to the spectacular glaciers and ice cliffs that still occupy most of the summit area. The descent to Kibo is surprisingly fast and after some refreshment, continues the descent to reach the final campsite at Horombo at 12000ft/3700m taking 11 to 15 hours.

Day 5
A steady descent down through the moor land to Mandara Hut and then downward through the lush forest on a good path to the National Park gate at Marangu ( 1830m) taking 5 to 7 hours to be met and transferred to your Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Drop off back to your hotel in the morning. Have a well earned rest and then the following day you will be picked up to start your safari programme
