Welcome to the endless summer South Africa Surfari. Warm up to the South Africa world cup testing your surf skills in some of the worlds best surfing locations along the South Africa coastline. Expert tution will equip you for some serious waves and one unforgettable summer time surf trip.

As Surfari's go, this is a big one. South Africa is a surfers wet dream, literally. Starting an epic surfing adventure where the two oceans meet sets the tone for an incredible gap year surfing adventure. We call it the Endless Summer, because the weeks spent practicing your new surf skills in some of the worlds best surf breaks, will make you wish it would never end.

If you have surf experience you will love it just as much as a newbie, with 35 hours of expert coaching from some of South Africa's best surf coaches, you will be a proper surf dude in no time.
If 35 hours is not enough, don't fret, between weeks of practicing off pristine sandy beaches and awesome swell, your tour leaders, all BSA surf coaches, will add to your instruction  helping you to learn to surf and further improve your skills.


The customised surf coaching included in the tour will also help you learn the basics and see that you progress quickly. You will also gain in depth beach and ocean knowledge as you gain loads of surfing expereince.

On this epic Surfari, you will need good surfing equipment, this is why once in South Africa we have teamed up with a custom board shaper, Clayton, who can kit you out at seriously good prices (budget about €160). With your own board, and the African sun on your back, you will be ready to master surfing and have one hell of an adventure in the process.



Accommodation



All Accommodation is included on a shared camping or hostel basis. South Africa is blesses with excellent backpacker hostels some right on the beach. Great places to crash after a hard days surfing, with lots of opportunities to chill out with a Braai (South African Bbq)

The programme begins in Cape Town, flights are not included but if you would like assistance with your flights, we can assist with sourcing the best value flight options, just indicate on your booking form.

Local Break: Look Out Beach. Plettenburg is a small holiday town. One of the most popular stops on the garden route. Plettenburg also has the highest population of dolphins.

10 days Jeffreys Bay

Local Break: Kitchen Window. World class surf and great community work options to soak up the culture. Jeffrey’s Bay can be a real turning point for your surfing as you make the step to the next level. It is the Mecca for surfing.

7 days Coffee Bay
Extra Stay with a local family, Hole in the wall coastal walk and many more.
Local Break: Coffee Bay point. After a day’s surfing the empty waves right out front take a “Sundowner” and watch the sun set from an empty cliff-top with a cool beer. Then wake up the next morning and do it all over again.The coffee Bay has a great surfers shack where you will not ever want to leave (but you have to we take you further to Balitto

5 days Balitto (North Durban)
Local Break: Salt Rock Beach. Ballito is a 45-minute drive north of Durban and is an well off ocean side community. Her the rich and famous from Durban have their holidays. You can enjoy the tropical beached and reefs and excellent surfing.

EXTRA
In all stops there are varies option for community work like: working with kids, soccer traning on the beach with kids, trips for small kids, attending a class in a township school, cooking lunch for kids, and you will be able to give surf lessons to the kids of South Africa.
