Working in London is an exciting and awesome opportunity but we also understand it can be a little bit daunting especially when you’re not sure exactly what is waiting for you on the other side!

We want to explain in more detail what the work involves on the London ConneXion and how it all works so you can rest assured that Xtreme Gap are looking after you right up until the interview Stage.. that bit is up to you!!

What we love about this experience is that there’s nothing else like it, it is completely flexible enabling you to travel throughout Europe and pop back to London when you run out of cash and start work again, and no there’s not any extra fees. Once you’re on the books with the company you have your own relationship with them and let them know when you are around to work and how much work you want… so get some cash stashed and then hop over to Europe for abit! Sounds good doesn’t it… it really is.. we are stoked with it!

Here are a few FAQs that will help you understand a little bit more about what you’re doing, of course we are here to ask questions to as well.

Who will I be working for?
Xtreme Gap have teamed up with The UK’s leading events staffing provider – staffing London’s most prestious events. They have over 20 years of experience and require an excellent level of service.

What Work Will I Be Doing?
You will be working at events as either professional waiters, waitresses, bar staff, head-waiters, front-of-house managers.

Do I Need Any Qualifications?
It’s great if you have worked in the hospitality industry before but if not no problems either as you will have training. Bring an up to date Resume anyway and make sure you have a UK phone number so you are contactable for work.

Is The Work Guaranteed?
We can’t absolutely guarantee you work because quite simply how much work you get is up to you. If you arrive with a tattoo on your face and a bad attitude you are probably not going to get much work! But if you are polite, friendly, well groomed and well mannered with a good work ethic then you can put your hand up for as much work as you want.

How Much Work Will I Get And How Much Will I Earn?
Most of the events run anywhere from 6-12 hours so you will be working on an event from start to finish. The work is demanding and you can be on your feet for the whole shift which will keep you fit! The work is flexible so you can work one shift a week or 6 shifts a week it’s entirely up to you. You can also work for a month and then jet off to Paris for a month and come back and work again, all up to you, the job can fit around your travel plans!
If you work a 10 hour shift you can walk away with nearly 100 quid, that’s nearly $200 AUD which is pretty good going. Again, all up to you on how much work you accept. The work is there if you want it!

Requirements
We require a very high level of presentation and you must be well groomed – please do not apply if you have a crazy unnatural hair colour, visible tattoos or facial piercings. You will be required to demonstrate your identity and eligibility to work in the UK during the recruitment process. Due to the flexible working hours we require that you are living in an area of your application city that you can travel safely to and from for work – (ideally zones 1-4 for London). All of our roles involve the service of alcohol.
