We asked Mark Roberts why he booked the Xtreme Thailand Experience over traveling independently:
“I was bricking it before I went traveling on my own. I had planned on going to Asia with 2 mates but they left me in the lurch at the last minute, one was trying to sell his car to raise the money to go away (turned out it was a bit of a shit banger) and the other got a job offer last minute. So there I was on me tod, with big travel plans and no one to go with.
I chose the Xtreme Thailand Experience because I though i would meet people easily and I am please to report it was a breeze. I was in a group of 13, 4 guys and 9 lucky ladies (lol) but we all got on really well. Being out of our normal surroundings helped everyone mix together really fast.
The guides Bent and Benny were awesome too. We had some good nights out on the Khao San!
Would i recommend booking a trip with Xtreme Gap vs going alone? Absolutely, it was everything I had hoped an more. It really helped me get used to backpacking.”
