“Travelling on my own was a little daunting at first, the idea that I could be the other side of the world away from friends and family did give me a few sleepless nights before I left! People kept saying don´t worry you will be fine and that you meet loads of people when you travel, but still, I was pretty nervous as it was my first time travelling.
I guess I was over reacting, because my fears were never realized and I had so much fun in Thailand and Malaysia. The Thailand Experience though Xtreme Gap completely helped settle me into the travel lifestyle. I soon made friends with the rest of the group, most of them in the same boat as me, travelling alone but all really up for it.
Traveling alone definitely has not put me off traveling, actually I am convinced it helped me to integrate with the group more. I am already saving up for my next trip!”
