Sailing the Whitsundays in Australia.

One of the highlights of the Ultimate Australia tour is cruising the Whitsundays. This is a marine park located north of Brisbane and is simply stunning. Whitehaven beach, the crown jewel of picture post card images is just one of the stops enroute.

During the trip you depart airlee beach where you meet the rest of the group on board usually about 12 people, you share twin or quad births (rooms) and everything is laid on for you. Actually you may be looked after by an Xtreme Gapper, because one of the programmes we run enables you to train for your competent crew qualifications, and work as a host on the boats. Kinda neat because you get a job and all you living costs – food, accommodation are taken care of, while the rest of us have to pay to get on board. Not that we mind though, it is simply stunning. When we went, it was a clear sky at night time allowing the prefect view of the southern hemispheres night sky. it put on quite a show with hundreds of shooting starts falling over head and a clear view of the Southern Cross.

In the day you stop off an make trips to beaches, swim off the boats in crystal (and we MEAN crystal) clear seas. Pure escapism and an amazing experience.
