In order to become a Scuba Diving instructor you need to have the Emergency first response Instructor rating. This means you are
PADI Instructors will not only have a higher level of preparedness to respond to emergencies, but will also be better equipped to offer all-inclusive PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster courses.
Having the Emergency First Response Instructor credential gives PADI Instructors another marketable skill set, because fi rst aid and CPR training is in demand outside the diving community and EFR courses are approved by many authoritative bodies internationally.
You will complete this course during the Open Water Scuba Diving Instructor Course like the Zero to Hero Thailand programme.
The EFR Instructor course takes 1 or 2 days and includes all elements of primary and secondary care, use of the AED, the provision of Oxygen and Care for Children.
